Randall Lab

The Randall Lab is an Industrial-Organizational (I-O) Psychology lab at the University at Albany, SUNY that conducts research of cross-disciplinary interest in areas of learning and motivation. Dr. Randall's specific areas of research address training and development (e.g., e-learning, informal learning), self-regulation (e.g., mind wandering, mindfulness), and personnel selection (e.g., retesting, bias, adverse impact).

Overall, research from our lab provides insights for today’s workforce challenges including how to: (a) help people stay focused in the face of distraction, (b) enhance learning in formal or informal settings, and (c) utilize more effective, less biased personnel testing procedures. This work is important because evidence-based practice can make tangible differences for individual employees and organizations alike.

We are located in the Department of Psychology at the University at Albany, SUNY in Social Science 251. Please explore this website to learn more about my research interests, teaching experience, student collaborators, and publications.
